Fondurile de investitii continua sa isi majoreze pozitiile nete pe termen lung (net long) atat in pietele de carbon din UE, cat si in cele din Regatul Unit, in saptamana incheiata vinerea trecuta, conform datelor din raportul Commitment of Traders publicat de ICE.

Investment funds continued to expand their net long positions in both the EU and UK carbon markets during the week ending Friday, 16 May, according to data from ICE’s Commitment of Traders report.

In sedinta de marti, piata europeana a carbonului a inregistrat o revenire puternica, recuperand cea mai mare parte a pierderilor din cele doua sedinte anterioare. Contractul de referinta pentru EUA-uri DEC’25 a inchis la 73,18 euro, marcand astfel un castig zilnic notabil de 3,92%.
European carbon prices track higher gas prices
On Tuesday, the European carbon market rebounded strongly, recovering most of the losses sustained over the previous two trading sessions. The benchmark EU Allowance (EUA) contract for December 2025 closed at €73.18, posting a notable daily gain of 3.92%.

Preturl carbonului din Europa si-a continuat scaderea luni, continuand tendinta descendenta inceputa in sedinta anterioara. Contractele EUA cu scadenta in decembrie 2025 au inchis sesiunea la 70,42 euro. Aceasta inchidere este cu aproape 4,5 euro sub maximul atins vineri, respectiv 75,02 euro, cel mai ridicat nivel din ultimele trei luni.

European carbon prices extended their decline on Monday, continuing the downward trend from the previous session. EUA Dec ’25 contracts ended the day at €70,42 nearly €4,5 below the three-month high recorded on Friday.
